4 things to think about when buying a new sofa

It's a sad time for some, when the nights draw in and summer is coming to an end, although for me I do love the thought of a roaring fire or log burner a furry throw and a comfy sofa.

Here are 4 things to consider when purchasing one of the most expensive pieces of furniture for your home.

How often do you use your lounge? Is it a room that is used for just when you have guests? If so you may well go for a sofa that looks good rather than has the durability that you would need if using it frequently.

The crush velvet pink sofa is stunning. However this is what I would call a good looking sofa that offers a little comfort. Ideal for the above lounge.

Do you have pets or children or both ?

I would always go for a leather sofa, slightly easier to clean with emergency spills. My favourite leather has to be the used shabby look in a tan colour although careful when adding cushions as some colours and fabrics can ruin the look, for example the chair below doesn't need any cushion there is so much character and style you would be overloading this great piece.

Do you already have a sofa you love and really don't need to change but think you need to because of the current trends. Why not add a fabulous chair, one that stands out and compliments your current sofa. Be brave and go for a colour. This chair below would go fabulously with a leather sofa. A mixture of textures work well together.

Lastly this is for all of you out there that spend a lot of time in the winter in the lounge, whether you watch tv or just sit and talk or read.

You need comfort and to feel cosy.

Watch the rain outside whilst snuggling up, lovely ❤️
