The Cornish Bed Company Beds made to last a lifetime

The Cornish Bed Company

Last month I was invited to attend a summer party for the Cornish Bed Company in association with Tom Raffield. Only to finds out that it clashes with another event I'm going to (Isle of Wight Festival). So rather sad I cannot attend and network with others in the design industry. Instead I thought I would do a little write up on what The Cornish Bed Company have to offer us. Here is their story.

They are located in a small town named Par near St Austell and they are one of the last foundries to hand cast iron beds using traditional methods. They offer standard and bespoke designs together with daybeds, four posters and headboards. The company was set up in the 90's in order to maintain the production of these traditional brass and Iron beds in the UK.

I am all for supporting businesses that are individual and don't appear on every high street corner or industrial estate. I am talking about the huge stores like Furniture world and Benson for beds. Nothing quite compares to knowing how and where your bed was actually made and by where.

The Cornish bed company have numerous showroom across the UK and abroad.

If your looking to invest in a bed of high standards and values, after all we do spend an awful lot of time in bed it is worth taking a visit to your nearest showroom or jump online and read all about them.

Hope to get to at least one of the showrooms myself soon.
