Home is where the heart is

It's our shelter from the storm and a place filled with memories of all the people we love. So it makes sense to create a space that genuinely feels like ours and reflects our personality. One way is by adding home projects that give your home personalised touches - whether you're trying to spruce up an old room or add some character to a new one! This blog post will explore 10 different projects that can help you do just this, including decorating ideas for each room in your house, and  tips on how best to tackle them!

Living Room

There are so many ways to personalise your living room! Try adding a new throw rug, lighting fixture, or even some art. You could also create the perfect reading nook by building up this space with bookshelves and couches.

Kitchen

One of the essential rooms in any home is undoubtedly the kitchen. It's here that we gather our family for meals together every day, so it has to be as welcoming and inviting as possible. Of course, this means taking care of all those little details like painting cabinets white (or another colour!) or changing out old handles on cabinet doors.

Bedroom

Your bedroom should be somewhere you can escape from work at the end of a long day but also somewhere that reminds you of who you are. So, try adding a few personal pieces like an artwork or photo frame to the wall, changing out your bedding, and even updating your headboard!

Bathroom

The bathroom is where you spend so much time and where you unwind with a nice long and hot bath after working your butt off the whole day. To make this room more inviting and relaxing in general, renovate with updated products such as new towels, bathmats, or soap dispensers!

Patio

For many, the patio is a go-to spot for lounging in warmer weather - and it doesn't have to be boring! Fresh flowers on tables or pots with plants can create such an inviting atmosphere. This is an area that we spend so much time in during the warmer months, and it needs some love too! Add a new coffee table with plants on top or outdoor seating arrangements to make it feel like home. You can also consider a more artistic approach by adding a hammock or other seating that makes it feel like you're in the tropics.

Playroom

The playroom is where many of our childhood memories are made, so why not personalise this space to make it your own? Brighten up walls with some new paint and add some unique artwork on top! For kids who love to play with Lego, there are plenty of ways to customise this space, like adding a few shelves or bins for all those tiny pieces, all you need is a glue gun from Glue Guns Direct and an afternoon!

Front Yard

The front yard is the first thing people see when they enter your home. Make your entrance welcoming by adding a new lamp or light fixture to it, as well as an inviting bench for sitting and reading a book! This space can be personalised by choosing something like stone pavers for the walkway leading up to the house or even updating with a new mailbox.
